CCTV of man wanted in connection with purse snatch

POLICE investigating a purse snatch at an Ashington supermarket have released a CCTV still of a man they want to trace.
The theft happened at the ASDA store in Ashington on Friday, September 26, around 5.20pm, when a man stole a purse from a trolley in the cosmetics aisle.

He was chased from the store and ran off along Rotary Parkway, across Lidl car park and was lost near the TA Centre in Woodhorn Road.

The thief is described as 5ft 10in, in his late 20s, with a shaven head.

He was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue adidas trousers.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information is asked to contact police in Ashington on 03456 043043 ext 61626.
