WE would like to thank everyone who sponsored us to complete a tandem skydive in aid of the Meningitis Research Foundation.
We decided to do the jump in July following the sudden death from the virus of my close friend, Ruthie, to try and raise some much needed funds for this cause and to increase awareness – too many people still believe meningitis is an illness that onl
y affects the young – Ruthie was 32.

We would particularly like to thank Wilkinsons, who were the only company we wrote to who were able to support our appeal by giving a cheque for £100 – which has helped a long way in reaching our target.

We were able to complete our skydives at the Peterlee Parachute Centre on October 12 – thanks to the wonderful team there who made it an experience to remember!

Again, we'd like to say a big thank you to everyone who sponsored us and played a role in making it happen.
